The flood certainly helped purple loosestrife spread all over the marsh. It seems a little early to declare the flood a huge success.
Maybe we should wait a year or five to conduct a real study. By then the flooded forests should all be blow downs because all the dirt got trapped behind the rip rap.
The purple loosestrife is really pretty though.
