River memories sought in Fort

From the Jefferson Daily Union

Can you remember the first time you canoed or fished on the Rock River? Did your family ever have a Rock River adventure? Do you know the stories of the mounds and the people who lived along the river shores? Have you ever spied cranes land along the shores or watched a sunset over Lake Koshkonong? Did you spend your winters growing up ice-skating on Haumerson's Pond?

Members of the public are invited to share their stories about the Rock River on Tuesday, April 5 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The Hoard Historical Museum, in partnership with the Fort Arts Council, will be hosting a morning coffee where attendees will have a chance for their stories to become a part of a community art and history project titled "Along the Rock River."
