Severe flood threat recedes

...Meteorologist Bill Borghoff said that because the rivers and Lake Koshkonong are free of ice, the snow has melted away, the ground has thawed and the county has been spared heavy rain in recent weeks, the likelihood of severe flooding has gone down.

...The worst of the flooding in 2008 was in early June, when the state was inundated with several inches of rain on the weekend of June 7-8.
