Why not catch fish virus before it spreads?

...The DNR has no reason to believe the virus is in nearby Lake Koshkonong, but it already risks affecting that lake's fishery.



Hatcheries were ready to dump a half million walleye fingerlings into Koshkonong.



Wisely, that's on hold until the DNR does more testing for the virus around the state. If those fingerlings don't go in Koshkonong this year, expect fewer walleyes hitting the legal size around 2010.
